Chiribiquete National Park is now the largest park in Colombia and home to over 75,000 rock pictographs that date back to over 20,000 years BC. Chiribiquete is known for its remote landscapes and exceptional conservation of wildlife. A tepui or tepuy is a table-top mountain or mesa found within Chiribiquete National Park and throughout South America that means “house of the gods” in the language of the indigenous Pemon people who inhabit it. It is a sacred site for many native people of South America.
